Bu ders, elektrik devrelerinin temel prensiplerini ve analiz yöntemlerini öğretmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Giriş bölümünde, yük, akım, güç ve devre elemanlarının tanıtımı yapılır. Ardından, Kirchhoff yasaları gibi temel kanunlar ile düğüm, dal ve döngü analizleri incelenir. Düğüm gerilimi ve ağ akımı yöntemleriyle devre analizi yöntemleri detaylandırılırken, süperpozisyon, Thevenin/Norton teoremleri ve maksimum güç transferi gibi devre teoremleri ele alınır. İşlemsel yükselteçler, kondansatörler ve indüktörler gibi devre elemanlarının işlevleri tanıtılır. Ayrıca, RC ve RL devreleri üzerinden birinci ve ikinci dereceden devreler, RLC devreleri ve AC devrelerinin fazörlerle kararlı durum analizleri yapılır. Ders, Laplace dönüşümü ve özellikleriyle sonlandırılır.
